T&C Scrubbing and Sweeping Services
OVERVIEW
In today’s environment, we’re especially proud to support local small businesses. One of these businesses is T&C Scrubbing and Sweeping Services, a Sydney-based cleaning company run by Tim Jameson.
Tim is an old hand at the cleaning game, and has provided cleaning services to Metropolitan Sydney for over 21 years. Since 2002, he’s relied on quality Tennant machinery for an efficient clean and great finish, making him one of Tennant Australia’s longest standing customers. These days, Tim has grown the business enough to bring on an onsite assistant, with another employee completing administration tasks.
PROBELM
When you’re cleaning somebody else’s facility, you need a machine that’s robust and reliable - especially when you’re operating in a demanding environment. Most of T&C Scrubbing and Sweeping
Services’s clients are based in Western Sydney, and they have ongoing contracts with warehouses, construction companies, and businesses with open yard spaces. But they also work across a variety of environments, and needed machines to suit a range of industries and clients. So, when Tim was looking for cleaning machinery, he looked at a range of options to suit his needs, including several Tennant machines.
SOLUTION
Together with the Tennant team, Tim researched the types of industries his business would be looking after to understand the cleaning challenges and solutions he’d need. In the end, he chose a fleet of Tennant machines, including:
- • 2 x S30 Mid-Sized Sweepers
- • T20 Ride On Scrubber
- • 5700 (NEW T600) Walk Behind Scrubber
The types of sites cleaned by Tim and his team usually have a lot of dust, but even the dustiest sites are easily managed by the S30 sweepers. Recently, T&C added a second S30 Diesel Ride-On Sweeper, but the first is still going strong, despite clocking up 10,000+
sweeping hours! “We have a lot more sweeping contracts, so we needed two machines in order to clean multiple sites at once,” said Tim.
Meanwhile, the T20 Ride On Scrubber with ec-H2O and is perfect for sites with a larger footprint. For example, one of T&C’s clients is a large retail warehouse based in Eastern Creek. Due to the amount of foot traffic through the doors, the floors need to be thoroughly
cleaned after hours. So, every second night, the T&C team scrub the floors with the T20 Ride on Scrubber.
Finally, the 5700 (AKA ‘The Work Horse’) Walk Behind Scrubber is ideal for jobs where the ride-on machine is too big or already in use on another job. After DIYing his machine servicing initially, Tim moved his fleet servicing and repairs across to Tennant to save time and feel confident that he’ll get the best outcomes. The S30XP is on a
service agreement, while the other machines have had some repairs and minor maintenance performed.
“I used to look after the maintenance myself, but now with more in the fleet, I’d rather call our Service Technician, Adam,” said Tim.
When it comes to spare parts, Tim also prefers to purchase direct from Tennant. “I know they are genuine parts and available. Plus, being local to me makes it easy to pick them up if I need them right away.”
OUTCOME
T&C Scrubbing and Sweeping have built a successful, long-term local business while using Tennant’s machines to deliver a reliable, effective clean across a range of clients and demanding environments. Another key outcome is that Tim is confident he’ll get fast service from someone who knows him, his business, and his machines. For most of the last two decades, John Mirana, Tennant’s Sydney-based territory manager, has been Tim’s primary point of contact. “When it’s time to upgrade a machine, I know I can call John, get a quote back, and it’s just a great relationship we have,” said Tim.
“I’ve been working with Tim for as long as I’ve worked at Tennant – 15 years – we have a great relationship. He is a true champion of Tennant, he understands the industries we are both working in, and he will stand by the Tennant name and brand,” said John.
